During the first lockdown of 2020, we were discussing ways we could diversify our business and adapt the space available to us at The Winterbourne.
After some deliberation and to meet a local need, we decided to turn our conservatory into a coffee shop!
It’s been a real success with locals and we offer a selection of delicious, freshly baked cakes and savouries,
coffees and teas and light refreshments throughout the day, from 11am, seven days a week.
After the pandemic hit in early 2020 and all the uncertainty and upheaval that it brought to our world, we looked at expanding our operation to diversify and keep the business ticking over.
After much searching, we found our ideal candidate, the beautiful ‘Blanche’ a 1972/73 Citroen H van.
She is kitted out with a wood fired oven, making her the perfect vehicle for selling takeaways in addition to dine in.
We are currently experimenting with what can be created in the oven from savoury & sweet pizzas to BBQ pork ribs. Keep an eye out for updates!
